In the mid 2000s, HRC created a limited run of 500 carbon fiber briefcases. As they put it, “HRC has produced many outstanding Honda “works” racing machines, including the MotoGP class machines that represent the absolute pinnacle in road racing. The key to this success has been our ultra-lightweight carbon technology, which we have put to full use in creating these HRC Carbon Accessories. Enjoy the sporty and high-class brilliance produced by carbon fiber technology.”
“Whether it’s a laptop PC with critical data or a file of important documents for a key business opportunity, you will want to keep your most powerful business weapons in this competitive-style carbon attaché case. The eye-catching shining carbon shell is finished with black Alumite and protected with an aluminum frame. Select between the sporty black leather interior highlighted with red stitching or the more sedately fashionable beige interior.”
“The shell features “wet carbon look” with carbon weave highlights.”
“The black Alumite aluminum frame includes a serial number plate as proof of this unique timepiece’s Limited Edition (500 unit) status.”
“Briefcase pockets are organized in a highly practical arrangement.”
External dimensions are 440mm wide x 320mm deep x 87mm high.
Internal dimensions are 425mm wide x 305mm deep x 82mm high
Today we’ve got #382 out of 500. The seller acquired it in Japan 12 years ago.
Per the seller, this “this carbon, aluminum and leather masterpiece still sports not only its original protective foam box but the original HRC shipping box, warranty card, instruction sheet in Japanese and both keys. In addition to the standard leather strand HRC key chain is an extra carbon/leather HRC key chain for the spare key.”
He adds that it features a “trick Italian hinge that opens slightly when the case is upright and opens fully when the case is laid flat. The case is handmade in Japan.”
The sale does not include this fabulous 1987 (first year) JDM-only RC30 that Adam is modeling next to!
Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller notes “a small scratch in the carbon fiber, a small gouge on the leather handle, and a little wear on the hinges, but otherwise in excellent condition.”
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this HRC briefcase is offered on a bill of sale only. Have any HRC stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the comments!
