Description

Additional photos of these Roberts Jr. leathers are available here for your perusal.

Kenny Roberts Jr. is the son of racing legend Kenny Roberts, and they are the only father/son duo to win the 500cc World Championship. Also known as KRJR, Kenny had a career with 8 500cc wins and 22 podiums, capped off with entry into the MotoGP Hall of Fame in 2017.

Roberts started his first race in the 250cc class at Willow Springs in 1990, accomplishing 5 wins that season. In 1993 he had his first World 500cc debut at the Laguna Seca Raceway, and in 1994-1995 he was full-time at Marlboro-Yamaha’s 250cc team.

He was signed to Suzuki in 1999, and started off strong by winning the first two races of the season – he’d go on to finish second overall. The next year, he won it all.

This suit was made by the Italian company Dainese.

This was Roberts’ Suzuki team suit in 1999 – here is a picture of him riding in that season.

There is minor wear from use but it does not appear to have been crashed in.

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), these leathers are offered on a Bill of Sale only. Have any Roberts Jr. stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
