Description

Additional photos of these Roberts Jr. leathers are available here for your perusal.

Kenny Roberts Jr. is the son of racing legend Kenny Roberts, and they are the only father/son duo to win the 500cc World Championship. Also known as KRJR, Kenny had a career with 8 500cc wins and 22 podiums, capped off with entry into the MotoGP Hall of Fame in 2017.

Roberts started his first race in the 250cc class at Willow Springs in 1990, accomplishing 5 wins that season. In 1993 he had his first World 500cc debut at the Laguna Seca Raceway, and in 1994-1995 he was full-time at Marlboro-Yamaha’s 250cc team.

He was signed to Suzuki in 1999, and started off strong by winning the first two races of the season – he’d go on to finish second overall. Next year he won it all, and in 2002 (when MotoGP switched to 990cc four strokes), he finished 9th overall.

This was Robert’s Telefonica Movistar Suzuki team suit in the 2002 season. Here is a picture of Kenny wearing them.

This suit was made by the Italian company Spyke.

There is minor wear from use but it does not appear to have been crashed in.

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), these leathers are offered on a Bill of Sale only. Have any Roberts Jr. stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
