Description

Please note: The seller is managing the sale of this collection on behalf of the owner’s estate. He has represented each bike to the best of his ability and will be unable to provide further history or supporting documentation. The bike does not currently run and the seller cannot confirm mechanical condition. He has provided a walk around video and is selling the bike as-is. A local dealership will be providing the Bill of Sale; all fees (with the exception of Iconic’s buyer’s fee) and taxes will be accounted for by the dealer.

Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

Established in 1902, Adler started by producing simple motor bicycles with a De Dion-Bouton clip on engine. The company eventually produced their own engines but ended motorbike production in 1907 in favor of typewriters, bicycles, and cars. After WWII, Adler abandoned cars and in 1949 Adler came back to the motorcycle market with its M100, designed by skillful head engineer Hermann Friedrich, best known for the Adler MB250.

The M100 was produced until 1956 and was powered by a 98cc single-cylinder two-stroke paired with a 3-speed gearbox. The factory claimed it could reach 44mph and it sold well enough for Adler to subsequently release the slightly stronger M125 and M150.

This example is VIN: 36335; Engine: The owner purchased the bike April 2013.

The odometer shows 22,495 kilometers (13,977 miles), however the seller cannot confirm accuracy.

Maintenance:
The seller states, “Not running. The bike has been a display piece for many years and is not in current running condition.
Fuel tank is clean and was drained of fuel when stored. Motor turns over with compression.”

Modifications:
Per the seller, “It is unknown if there is any modifications that were performed previous to current ownership.”

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on Continental KKS10 tires.

The sale includes two keys. There is no supporting documentation.

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
