A French manufacturer from 1917 to 1959, Monet & Goyon started by building carriages and hand cycles for disabled WWI vets. They built their first motorcycle in 1922, and enjoyed some racing success in the Bol D’or. The company survived the war but was doomed when most of its board was comprised of non-motorcyclist combined with the increase in light weight car production throughout Europe. For less than the cost of a motorcycle and side car, those needing transportation could purchase a Fiat 600, BMW Iso, or a Citroën 2CV.
The KS6VG4 was produced from 1953-55 and marketed as a Luxury 4-speed with a telescopic fork and rear suspension. It weighed approximately 70 kilograms (154lbs) and was powered by a Villiers 121cc two-stroke single which could push the motorbike upwards of 50mph.
This example is VIN: 550; Engine: 793.
The odometer shows 4,481 kilometers (2,784 miles), however the seller cannot confirm accuracy.
