In 1967, Yamaha released an updated version of their Trailmaster with a 100cc engine, electric start, and their Autolube injection system.
It was easy to buy, easy to ride, and easy to maintain, and that’s why it became a popular mount for off-road exploration. The dual-sprocket system didn’t hurt, either.
This example is VIN: L2505353, Engine #: L2505353. The seller acquired it from the original owner 22 months ago.
During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 50 miles. The odometer shows 3,904 miles.
Per the seller, this bike was “purchased in Hong Kong and delivered to Southeast Asia, then used in Laos and Vietnam through 1970. It was shipped back to the states and dry stored under cover for 50 years.”
The sale includes paperwork from Man Lee Tat Car Company in Kowloon, Hong Kong to the original buyer, dated October 1967.
Maintenance:
“Completely gone through last year inclusive of a top end rebuild, new battery, and new tires. I’ve put about 10 miles on it since..”
The horn does not work.
Modifications:
Battery tender lead.
Inside of the tank:
It is riding on IRC Trials tires with date codes of 2321 and 2421.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
It appears that the bike was originally red and was repainted yellow at an unknown point in the past.
The sale includes three keys.
