Founded in 1919, Garelli is now solely electric but they have a long history with small displacement motorcycles – they even won the 125cc Grand Prix championship every year between 1982 and 1987.
After the war, Garelli focused on manufacturing small scooters and motorcycles like many industrial European companies. One such was the Junior, which meant “Young Adult”, and was produced with essentially the same engine and various levels of trim from 1960 to 1969. The 49cc single was initially paired with a three-speed gearbox producing 1.5hp and by the end of its run the Junior had a four-speed gearbox, produced 5hp, and a claimed 56mph top speed.
This example is VIN: 2387754.
The odometer shows 0.7 kilometers (0.4 miles), however the seller cannot confirm accuracy.
