Additional photos of this Penton 125 Six Day are available here for your perusal.

The Penton Six Day was a very important motorcycle – it was the start of the commercial relationship between John Penton and KTM.

For more on the Penton/KTM relationship, check out this article from KTM themselves. Just 400 of these bikes were brought to the US in ’68, the first year of production. The next year, KTM brought over 1,000, and the rest is history. The components used were high-end – Ceriani forks, Girling shocks, Oldani brakes, Magura levers, and more.

In an effort to spice things up, Penton called the 125 the “Six Day” after the legendary ISDT event. the 2-stroke motor was sourced from Sachs.

This example is VIN: 11152036.

There is no odometer, true mileage is unknown.

The seller acquired it 20 years ago from a private party with the intent of restoring it, however he has decided that he’s not going to get around to it and he wants to find it a new home. He has not tried to run it.

Aftermarket exhaust.

Misc. stickers.
