Known as the KZ650 here in the US and the Z650 everywhere else, this middleweight perfectly fit under the KZ900 in Kawasaki’s lineup. It was introduced in 1976 with three color choices: Candy Super Red, Candy Emerald Blue, or Candy Emerald Green. Over 7 years of production it developed a reputation as a reliable machine that handled much better than its bigger brothers.

This came to us from the collection in South Africa that we’ve recently been selling. We do not have maintenance history on it, though it came to us from the third owner who notes that it was put into storage in 1985. In preparation for the listing, we cleaned the carbs, changed the oil/filter, installed a Pingel petcock with 44mm adapter plate, had the tank cleaned/lined/painted, detailed the bike, and installed a new battery.
