Description
“If you’re a serious desert / off-road racer, this is what you ride… no bike – repeat: NO BIKE – has the awesome winning record in the desert that the Husky big-inchers enjoy. The latest machine – our test 390 OR – is such a successful weapon in the desert, that it’s difficult to get one.” That’s how Dirt Bike magazine basically started their review of the 390 OR, a bike they’d go on to praise with comments like: “Believe us. The machine is that good. Possibly even better.”
“Whoever was on the Husky instantly became The Man. Riders’ skill levels seemed to mean nothing. The fast guy was automatically the OR rider.”
“Nothing, absolutely nothing, would even stay in sight of the 390 OR. It would dance off into the distance, with the rider popping arrogant wheelies.”
This example is VIN: MM06801. The seller purchased the bike from a private seller in California approximately two years ago.
The true mileage is unknown, however, the seller states “the bike has low hours.”
Maintenance:
The seller states “after purchasing, I took it to Vintage Husky in San Marcos. I had a new swing arm from a 1980 model installed, installed ohlins shocks, new front tire, new side plastics, new carb, different handlebars, new throttle cable and new chain. I had the fluids flushed and changed. I really love this bike. Had one in high school.” In preparation for the listing, the seller had us perform a safety inspection, our service department notes the following on their condition report:
