No Reserve – 1985 Suzuki RG400 Gamma Project

After Suzuki introduced the RG-Gamma series in 1983, the line grew to span displacements ranging from 250-500cc. Of particular note was the RG400 Gamma Walter Wolf, as it was a two-year-only model that was exclusively sold in Japan.

A true race-replica for the streets, it boasted the latest and greatest in two-stroke technology. Along with an advanced aluminum box frame, it also featured Suzuki’s “Full-Floater” rear suspension and a water-cooled square four. The 397cc engine produced 59 horsepower at 9,000 rpm.

Maintenance:
In preparation for the listing, the seller had us service the carbs, flush the gearbox oil, clean the airbox, perform a safety inspection, and make a list of recommended repairs. Olly did the work, he notes the following in his condition report:
