The Yamaha SRX600 is a cult classic, but it started as a commercial flop. In the US, it sold for just one year, and it was during a time when American riders valued power above everything else. A relatively light weight bike with a 41 horsepower motor just didn’t cut it – but for riders who can appreciate the styling, handling, and the nostalgia of having to kick over the 595cc single motor, the SRX is a rare, interesting classic.

The SRX was also produced in more popular 250 and 400 displacements, but the 600 had a top speed of 106 miles per hour, and a wet weight of 387 pounds. For more information, check out this retrospective on Sport Rider (hosted on Cycle World) in which Dean Adams calls the bike misunderstood and says, “By almost all definitions, the SRX is a fantastic all-around motorcycle.”

This example is VIN: JYA2EG001GA000107.

The odometer shows 1,707 miles.
