Description

Additional photos of this VFR400 are available here for your perusal.

Honda introduced the VFR400R in 1986 with the NC21 generation – the year after they debuted the NC24, which benefitted from the PRO-ARM single-sided swingarm.

The 399cc V-Four engine produced a claimed 59 horsepower and was notable for the distinctive sound of the gear-driven camshafts.

The 16″ front wheel was paired with a 18″ rear wheel held in place with 4 bolts.

The base NC24 is a wonderful bike that constantly won 400cc shootouts. But for one year, Honda offered an official Rothmans replica livery.

The seller of this example (VIN: NC24-1009930) acquired it in 2012.

Since then, he’s covered less than 1,500 miles. The odometer shows 17,167 kilometers (10,667 miles).

The bike was last serviced in 2015 by BOSS Cycle Sports in Modesto, California. The service included a carb clean, Yuasa battery, and a once-over.

We gave it a quick wipe down before the listing and Olly noted that the engine turns over but leaks fuel.

The sole modifications appear to be a tank pad and blue brake lines.

The sale includes one (aftermarket) key.

Inside of the tank:

The tire date codes are 0411 and 2906.

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Honda is offered on a clean California title on non-op registration. Please note that it is incorrectly listed as a 1982 model on the title.
