The Yamaha YSR50 was the most common of the rare 50cc sportbikes that came from Japan in the late 80s and early 90s. An instant classic, the YSR50 was always street legal and always seems to put a smile on the face of riders and spectators.

Built to look like a mini RZ500, the YSR50 also featured mini performance. The 49.3cc two-stroke engine was capable of pushing the bike up to 38 miles per hour, but companies like Team Calamari have been making stock performance numbers useless with years of aftermarket parts and performance modifications if you are so inclined.

This example is VIN: 2AL017625. The bike came to Iconic as an import from Japan.

The odometer shows 18,664 kilometers (11,597 miles).

12V Battery. The bike is on a 6V battery and charging system. This 12V auxiliary battery mounted in the left pannier powers the lights and sirens. It is not connected to the bike’s charging system. To run the lights and sirens, this 12V will have to be frequently charged and/or periodically replaced.
