The Yamaha YSR50 was the most common of the rare 50cc sportbikes that came from Japan in the late 80s and early 90s. An instant classic, the YSR50 was always street legal and always seems to put a smile on the face of riders and spectators.

Built to look like a mini RZ500, the YSR50 also featured mini performance. The 49.3cc two-stroke engine was capable of pushing the bike up to 38 miles per hour, but companies like Team Calamari have been making stock performance numbers useless with years of aftermarket parts and performance modifications if you are so inclined.

This example is VIN: JYA2RRA09LA043604.

The odometer shows 3,254 kilometers (2,021 miles).

In preparation for the listing, the seller had us flush the fuel tank, replace the throttle cable, clean the carb, and detail the bike. Yonni and Alex did the work, they note the following in their condition report:
Fuel Tank: Not Good
Tire Years – Front/ Rear: 2020
Tire Life – Front/ Rear: 80%
Tire Pressure – Front: 34PSI; Rear: 36PSI
Brake Life – Front: +50%; Rear: -50%
Kill Switch: Ok
Horn: Ok
Test Run: Engine Runs Great (On Bench), No leaks

Additionally, they found:
– Fuel tank rotted through
– Engine swap, welded in frame
– Wrong rear tire size
– No ignition
– Rattle-can tank + frame
– RH switch housing loose
– Throttle cable not ideal
