Up for auction today is a frame of Honda’s iconic MC21.

It was sent to Iconic from a friend in Japan.

The seller notes, “This is a 1990 NSR250R SP MC21 frame. This is from a 1990 Cabin SP restoration project I bought in Japan in 2019. The bike sat for a long time before I started into it, and I somehow lost the original Japanese documents so after a few trips to the Kei Jidōsha Kensa Kyōkai trying to get a replacement (it wasn’t in my name!), I realized it would be easier to find another frame with paperwork so that is what I did. This was an uncrashed bike and the numbers are correct for a 1990 Cabin SP R8L (Frame number: MC21-1000001~101451). There is some of the typical lighter corrosion on the cast parts that should clean up with a bit of work. I gave it a bit of basic cleaning before sending it to Iconic but it could use a bit more scrubbing all around!”

An estimated domestic shipping cost via FedEx Ground would be between $100-$150.

This example is VIN: MC211013912.
