This month, we are auctioning off several motorcycles out of a collection that came to us from Iowa – all with no reserve. Each one of the bikes has been on display for roughly ten years and does not currently run, however we quickly went through them to clean them and determine if they can fire up.
Manufactured in November of 1991, this example is VIN: JS1GV73A4N2101996, Engine #: V710-121348.
The odometer shows 37,869 miles.
In preparation for the listing, we had Steve go through it. He was able to get this to run on a spray of starter fluid, however it has a stuck throttle, the carbs need to be cleaned, it will need a battery, the front brakes (master cylinder and calipers) will need to be rebuilt, the forks seals will need to be replaced, the clutch master cylinder is stuck solid, and it will need new tires. The biggest issue is that the shift shaft on the transmission does not appear to do anything – please see the video up top.
