We acquired this Ninja ZX-9R (VIN: JKAZX2B15SA018618) off of eBay a couple of years ago and it was wrongly represented.
The seller had outdated photos in his listing so we were a bit surprised when it arrived with a dented tank and drilled fairings.
He later claimed that his girlfriend was mad at him and took a bat to the tank before it got shipped, but did not let us know about that and sent the bike anyway. The motor was strong and checked out well so we pulled it and sold it to a client that needed it for a “ZX-8” build (ZX-7 with a ZX-9 motor).
We’re doing a little “summer cleaning” at Iconic so we’d like to clear up some space, and we’re offering it up with no reserve! It’s currently at our location in Santa Monica, California if you want to inspect it up close. It’s offered with a clean Michigan title and, keeping the motor in mind, is otherwise complete.
The odometer shows 6,814 miles.
There’s minor scratches in several places and it’s missing the two front turn signals – we included photos of all known cosmetic issues in the album up top.
There are two aftermarket upgrades – a Factory Effex tank protector and Zero Gravity windscreen.
It’s a full rolling chassis that you could use for a custom build, restoration, or parts bike. What will you do?
