Click here for an VINData Motorcycle History Report on this 1995 Triumph Daytona Super III. Additional photos are available here for your perusal.
Triumph’s Super III was a limited edition of the under-appreciated Daytona 900. Featuring engine tuning by Cosworth, they sold just 805 worldwide, 179 of which made it to the United States.
In addition to Cosworth’s touch, this bike got bigger cams, flat slide carbs, 6 piston front brakes, and a whole lot of carbon fiber. The results of the engine work yielded a healthy 115 horsepower, though the bike was too heavy to be a true sports bike. It instead ended up being a fantastic sport-tourer, and a bike you had to muscle around to have a lot of fun with.
If you’re curious to know more, check out this detailed write up over at MCN, on how the Super III came to be during Triumph’s 1990s rebirth, here.
This example is VIN: SMT372DD2SJ023862. The seller acquired it fifteen months ago from an eBay auction and states, “It was an impulse buy, but I have more bikes than I can reasonably ride and should have been selling and not buying. I love looking at her, but she needs to be ridden. I had Iconic take care of all of the maintenance needs.”
The seller has put less than 5 miles on this bike – the odometer shows 10,426 miles.
Maintenance:
In December 2024, the seller had us replace the fork seals/fork oil, replace the brake pads, wash the front and rear rotors and calipers, bleed the clutch, clean/lube/adjust the chain, replace the air filter, and clean/sync the carbs.
In March 2025, the seller had us replace the tires. Our shop notes the following on their condition report:
