Affectionately known as the King of Baja (or the Big Red Pig), the Honda XR650R has gleaned a cult-like following among Honda fans and remains to this day one of the most outstanding open class enduro bikes on the market. The same power and suspension that make it able to bomb through the desert at triple digit speeds also make it an interesting platform for a supermoto, and that’s what we’ve got for you here today.

This example is VIN: JH2RE0109YK100175. The seller acquired it here on Iconic Motorbike Auctions a year ago. He is letting it go as he is out of space – he also recently sold a Kawasaki H2 Project here on Iconic as well.

During his ownership, the seller did not ride this bike. It has roughly 1,400 miles on it. The previous seller owned it for six years and “wanted to build something different.”

Modifications:
Carbon fiber bodywork, Acerbis hand guards.

Custom Ohlins suspension (forks and shock) specifically built for this XR by David at Fast Bike Industries.

Custom header feeding into a titanium Leo Vince dual exhaust.

BST carbon fiber wheels with Metzeler Racetec tires (Rain in the front, SM in the rear).

BL Italia aluminum tank.

There is an additional fuel tank under the tail.

Sunline levers, aftermarket brown grips.

Acewell speedometer, Renthal carbon fiber handlebar.

Beringer front brakes with a BRO12 master cylinder, 6-piston caliper, and 310mm cast iron rotor.

Vortex rear sprocket, rear axle sliders.

Undertail LED brake light with integrated turn signals.

Battery tender lead.

R&G Racing exhaust protectors.

IMS shift lever, SPG Components sprocket cover, aftermarket pegs.

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Honda is offered on a clean California title which expired in March of 2020.
