We’re big fans of Kawasaki’s ZRX here at Iconic – retro looks without retro performance, plus it’s surprisingly comfortable so you can enjoy it all day. We’ve auctioned off several excellent examples over the last few months, but this one’s a bit different as it’s got a blown motor. With that in mind, we’re going to mix things up a bit: typically we start off auctions at $1,000. We’re starting this one (VIN: JKAZR9A1714005145)at $100 (just remember, we have a minimum 7%/$250 buyer’s fee, so the lowest this can go for is $350).
The owner is a friend of ours who was on a road trip in Oregon when the motor let go. He found a local farmer who let him store the bike temporarily. We happened to be dropping off a sold bike nearby a few weeks later, so we picked up this ZRX and brought it back to our shop to help out the owner. He’s got other bikes that he’d like to focus on, so he’d like to sell this as is.
The odometer shows 55,879 miles.
It has a few aftermarket upgrades, including Works shocks…
…and a Zero Gravity windscreen.
We note a few cosmetic issues, the most significant of which are on the front fender and chin fairing.
Of course, the big issue is the blown motor.
