In 2005, MV Agusta updated the F4 series with a 998cc engine, which bumped power up to 166 horses and top speed up to 184 miles per hour. The upgraded engine was surrounded by quality components such as 50mm Marzocchi front forks, Sachs shock, and Nissin brakes, but for many riders the styling (particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust) stole the show.
Alongside the regular “S” model, MV released two limited edition models – one was the AGO, which was the first 300 models built. Today we’ve got a S model that’s been customized as a tribute to the AGO with the number 1 in yellow ovals and “AGO” decals on the mirrors.
This example is from very early in the F4’s production (VIN: ZCGAKFGM65V200003).
The seller acquired it in 2011 from a private party in San Francisco, and he covered approximately 4,000 miles in that time. The odometer shows 7,093 miles.
He notes that this is a “ferocious” bike, and he is only selling due to a medical issue that has stopped him from riding.
The seller states that there are no mechanical issues with the drivetrain and it runs well. We believe that the rear wheel valve stem will need to be replaced as the tire will not fill with air.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
There are scratches on both sides of the bodywork. Photos of all known cosmetic issues are included in the album up top.
In addition, the seller notes that he once dropped the tank when it was off the bike and had some chips repainted.
The sale includes the Owner’s Manual and World Dealers Guide.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please schedule an appointment for a viewing), this F4 is offered on a clean California title with registration current through February 2021.
