KTM came out swinging when they decided to create their first supersport machine. The original RC8 featured a 1,148cc V-Twin engine that put out 160 horsepower and a surprising amount of adjustability – both levers, the bars, subframe/seat, pegs, shifter, brake pedal, and ride height.
It featured top notch components, including Marchesini wheels, Brembo brakes, and WP suspension.
2010 was the first year that Americans were given access to the bike, which makes this 2008 model a rarity on our shores.
This example is VIN: VBKVR94098M951326. It came to Iconic as an import from South Africa; prior history is not known.
The odometer shows 10,960 kilometers (6,811 miles).
Maintenance: Please note There is a parasitic draw on fuse #1, which is for the ignition and a potential immobilizer system. Steve has added a switch to kill the inputs on this fuse so there’s no more draw.
In preparation for the listing, we installed a new battery, changed the engine oil/filter, replaced the front/rear brake pads, flushed the front and rear brake fluid, flushed the coolant, cleaned/lubed/adjusted the chain, detailed the bike, and installed new Michelin Pilot Power tires with date codes of 2721 and 0622.
