It is based on the ever-popular touring bike, but includes additional features to make it more suitable for police work.
These features include a more powerful engine, upgraded brakes, and enhanced lighting and audio systems. The bike is also equipped with police-specific accessories such as a radio box, siren and public address system, and hard saddlebags for carrying equipment. With its combination of speed, agility, and advanced technology, the Kawasaki Concours 14 Police edition is a reliable and efficient choice for law enforcement agencies in need of a high-performance motorcycle, or the avid motorcyclist looking for a competent tourer.
This example is VIN: JKBZGNC18BA008161. The seller purchased this motorcycle through a California Police auction six 6 years ago. He is letting it go due to an accident on a different bike that prevents them from riding in the future.
It is Federally and California emissions compliant.
The odometer shows 41,990 miles.
Maintenance:
The seller reports that he has changed the oil every 3,000 miles with Motul full synthetic. Additionally, he has filled it with fresh Engine Ice every two years, flushed the brakes every two years, and drained and filled the rear drive shaft oil with Red Line full synthetic. The seller also states that he has installed All Balls racing wheel bearings.
The seller addressed a problematic left front valve cover gasket leaking oil, which was common in this model.
Finally, the seller had the fork seals replaced.
Modifications: Please Note: the police equipment (Whelen Emergency Lighting System, Whelen Three Tone Siren System, rear-mounted radio/equipment trunk, handlebar-mounted switch gear) is installed but is not connected.

Continental US: Haul Bikes will ship anything sold through Iconic for a starting rate of $750 in the Continental US (prices may increase in rural markets), and Iconic will handle the paperwork on your behalf. You do not need to crate your bike or drain the gas/disconnect the battery if you go with Haul Bikes. We are glad to work with the shipper of your choice as well, but you will have to arrange it.
