The seller is none other than the world-renowned actor and motorcycle enthusiast Ewan McGregor! He has decided to clear some space and is selling a few cars and motorcycles. Iconic is proud to help Ewan with the two-wheelers.
The Moto Guzzi V7 was introduced in 2008, and it’s been the Italian firm’s best selling model since 2009. Between the classic styling, the comfortable ergonomics, and the approachable powerplant, the bike hit just the right balance of personality and practicality.
Claimed output for the Guzzi small block was 48.8hp at 6,800rpm and 40.3lb-ft of torque at 3,600rpm. So, while the tractor-like V-twin wasn’t one for winning races, its output was more than adequate for spirited solo rides and its delivery was pleasantly smooth.
In 2011, Moto Guzzi debuted a limited-edition Racer model. It differed from the other V7s by way of a red insignia’d tank, a leather tank strap, a shiny red frame and swingarm, a suede seat, as well as a numbered flyscreen and tail cowl.
In 2014, the V7 II was launched. Along with being available in more colors, the new model received a 6-speed gearbox, ABS and traction control, and a repositioned engine – now slightly lower and supplying a bit more knee room when combined with the new, slightly lower seat.
Manufactured in March of 2015, this example is VIN: ZGULWUB21GM200001. Ewan got it as part of his relationship with Moto Guzzi as a Brand Ambassador.
