Description

Additional photos of this duo of Yamaha YSR50s are available here for your perusal.

What’s better than one YSR50? Two YSR50s. What’s better than two YSR50s? Two YSR50s with no reserve!

This duo is offered up by a couple of brothers who owned them and raced them while growing up decades ago. Bike #1 (on the left in the featured image) is a runner and Bike #2 (on the right) has a seized engine, but these are easy to fix – use Bike #2 as a parts bike or fix it up and ride with your buddy!

Our White Glove service would be glad to help, if needed. Both bikes have California plates on them, however they have been out of the system for years and are only offered with a Bill of Sale. Both bikes have a trace amount of rust and were sitting for approximately 25 years before they were dropped off at our shop. Both have turn signal relocation kits.

Both bikes will also need new tires.

Here, our wonderful tech Olly shows which bike is #1 and which is #2:

Bike #1. 1987 Yamaha YSR50 – VIN: JYA2RRA04JA014038, 9,542 miles.

We put a petcock seal and a brand new Yuasa battery in and it fired right up. There are a few cosmetic issues but it runs quite well and the motor seems strong. Looks to have a Team Calamari Dual Stinger exhaust and Lucky Strike decals.

And here’s Olly with #2:

Bike #2. 1989 Yamaha YSR50 – VIN: JYA2RRA07KA021583, 6,812 miles.

This appears to have a seized motor. We also note a Team Calamari Dual Stinger exhaust, however it does not come with keys. Our White Glove service can have a set made for approximately $100.

The brothers that owned these raced them together growing up – we hope the next owners do the same! We have taken several photos of both bikes, so please check out the album up top and let us know if you need any additional information/photographs. Good luck!
