Meet the “RSV550” – built by Joseph Subrizi of Öhlins USA, this is an incredible combination of an Aprilia RS250 chassis with RS125 bodywork and the 550 V-Twin engine that Aprilia utilized in their RXV/SXV off-roader/supermoto (with the upgraded black sealant).
For this one-off build, we’re going to let the seller tell you a bit about the history: “I knew of this bike for a long time, it had a bit of a cult following online because the build was such high quality, it had hardly believable weight figures, and it was done in a high quality way that the handling was said to be incredible. I bugged Joey constantly until one day in 2019 he gave me the chance to buy it.” The seller has provided several build photos, we are sharing a couple here but you can see more in the “Photos” tab:
“I had it fully serviced by SBK Corse in California ready for some track activity…and then I got divorced…then COVID kicked off…and then finally I moved back to the UK. The bike has been kept in temperature controlled storage ever since, and didn’t turn a single lap under my ownership.
I now race cars in the UK and I need to let the bike go. Joey never had paperwork for the race bike so importing it into the UK is more headache than it is worth.”

During his ownership, the seller has not ridden the bike. The odometer shows 241 miles.
Maintenance:
The seller notes that the engine was rebuilt before he purchased the bike in 2019. “The stock SXV engine used one quart oil, but this setup uses a little more than 2 quarts. It is a dry sump engine.”
In preparation for the listing, the seller had us perform a safety inspection, change the engine oil/filter, install a new battery, clean/lube/adjust the chain, flush the hydraulic fluid, flush the coolant, and install a new air filter.
