The previous owner of this tank originally bought it used as a spare in case he ever had issue with the stock unit on his personal Desmosedici.
He ended up selling that Desmosedici (#888) through Iconic Motorbike Auctions but did not include the tank as a spare.
The retail price of a new tank is roughly 3,000 Euros ($3,600).
This auction is just for the tank – it does not include the gas cap or any internals.
It has clearly been used, however it is in good cosmetic shape. There are signs of use on the underside.
The interior is dusty but would clean up well.
The only flaw on the visible portion of the tank (when mounted) is a small scratch in the front left corner.
