Description

Please note: Iconic has reduced the minimum buyer fee on this item from $250 to $150.

Introduced at the end of the 80s, the RGV250 was filled with design cues from Suzuki’s 250cc Gamma Grand Prix racer. When de-restricted, it produced over 60 horsepower to motivate just 282 pounds of dry weight. Visor Down called it, “The purest and most race-bred two-stroke track tool ever to make it into a showroom.”

All of the VJ23s were the high-spec SP model (an upgrade in the previous generation), which got a dry clutch, close-ratio transmission, ram air intake, and larger carbs. Claimed hp for a de-restricted model was 70.

These unique wall art tanks are produced by Parc Ferme Moto Art. The artist has been a good friend of Iconic’s and Bike-urious for over a decade and has produced an extremely unique and limited production run of gas tank wall art available exclusively through Iconic Motorbike Auctions. These ultra rare tanks are from a legendary collection of illustrious bikes. Stay tuned for subsequent listings of these amazing art pieces and get yours while supplies last.

The art piece measures 28″x20″x9″ and our transport department estimates shipping from our warehouse in Santa Monica to the continental US be around $150 via Fedex ground. The seller states “This is an original Suzuki VJ23 RGV250 Lucky Strike Fuel Tank. Despite my pleading, the welder just laughed and threw it back at me, too far gone to try and repair, it was cut in half and painted back to original to live on again sans fuel. During my VJ23 LS restoration project I had some other bodywork painted up and decals made, what you see here is an extension of that. Suzuki only made just over 2200 VJ23’s, very few were the Lucky Strike versions in both T and V model variants. This wall art is a tribute to that. #1 I am keeping for myself, and am offering #2 up for auction with Iconic.”

Currently located in Santa Monica, California, this Suzuki is offered on a bill of sale. Have any Suzuki RGV250 VJ23 stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
