Scott Redding made his MotoGP debut aboard a RCV1000R racing for GO&FUN Gresini Honda in 2014. At the time, he held the title as the youngest-ever grand prix winner, having taken the 125cc championship when he was just 15 years and 170 days old.
While at Gresini, Redding clearly established himself as the fastest Honda production rider — even despite his teammates boasting more experience as well as quicker, factory-specification rides. That season, he finished as high as seventh, both at Quatar and Phillip Island.
The following year, Scott Redding rejoined his former Moto2 team, Marc VDS. Though he never quite mastered the RC213V, he managed to secure his first podium with a third-place finish in Misano.
For 2016 and 2017, the Englishman switched to Pramac Racing. Riding alongside Danilo Petrucci, he raced with mixed results aboard his Desmosedici. While on the GP15, he took his second podium: third-place behind Jack Miller and Marc Marquez. However, the following year he never finished higher than seventh, as Petrucci’s factory-supported GP17 proved to be too much of an advantage over his GP16.
After his contract at Ducati was not extended, Scott Redding signed with Aprilia in 2018. He replaced Sam Lowes, though the season did not go as planned for the team. Espargaró finished with 44 points, while Redding finished with 20 points.
The seller acquired the helmet from a private party in France six years ago. He is thinning his memorabilia in order to only have Ducati items.
He is also auctioning Scott Redding’s Aprilia Winter Test Leathers and Boots. The below photo shows the complete set for demonstration purposes.
The helmet is a size S/M. Per the seller, “This helmet is for display only and thus the shell lining has been removed. This is commonly done by riders and managers to ensure the items are not worn.”
It has been signed by Scott Redding on the visor as well as on the top of the helmet.
