Scott Russell has long been a fan favorite – especially after his incredible comeback victory at Daytona in 1995. The year after, Shoei offered a replica livery on one of their production helmets, and riders have been begging Shoei to re-release it since!
This helmet was built in February of 1995. It is a size Large.
The seller has owned it for over 10 years, during which time it was always stored in a climate-controlled environment.
Scott Russell has signed the back of the helmet. Per the seller: “I was able to have Scott Russell sign the helmet while I was at Road America at the AMA Superbike races. Scott was announcing for the races, at that time he was no longer racing. I approached him with the helmet asking if he would sign it. He graciously signed and had some nice comments about how popular that helmet was and is. It was actually fun watching him pen his signature on the back of the helmet.”
The sale includes a Team Muzzy hat signed by Rob Muzzy. The seller reports that “the hat was signed by Rob Muzzy at Laguna Seca. A friend of mine attending the races bought two hats and was able to get them both signed by Rob. My friend gave one of the hats to me and he kept the other hat as a souvenir.”
Additionally, the sale includes a clear visor as well as a Shoei helmet bag.
