The Swiss watchmaker Tissot has been the Official Timekeeper of MotoGP since 2001, monitoring riders with 1/1000th of a second precision. They’ve made annual Limited Edition watches to celebrate as much, and today we have for you an example from the 2016 run.

Here’s what Tissot hade to say in their certificate of authenticity: “The Tissot T-Race MotoGP Limited Edition 2016 has the powerful bike features such as the brake-disk bezel, the wheel tread on the back of the bracelet or even the footrests exemplified in the pushers. Even the chronograph function of the watch takes the shape of a motorbike dashboard through red frames and silver linings. The fiery red is not only a reminder of the dynamism of the sport but also of the Tissot logo and its Swiss flag, with the precision it is known for.”

Set against a red rubber strap and measuring 43.5mm diameter, the case comprises a mix of carbon composite and stainless steel. A bidrectional stainless steel bezel bears a tachymeter — typical of racing chronographs — while the carbon dial is highlighted by luminous super Luminova hands and bar hour and minute markers.
