Before we get into this bike, we feel obligated to share one of the greatest motorcycle commercials to grace American television sets (this is for the 600, not the 1000):
The Honda Hurricane, besides having one of the better names in motorcycling history, was an excellent motorcycle that introduced some crucial technology into the Honda lineup. Available in 1000cc and 600cc versions, the design of the bigger bike has aged a bit better with time.
The Hurricane had 130 horsepower to motivate 602 pounds of weight, and over time it’s evolved from a heavyweight supersport into a classic sport-tourer. As Rider magazine put it in a Retrospective, “the ergonomics as a whole were fit for a normal human being. Add a pair of throwover saddlebags and a tankbag, and a thousand-mile weekend was a pleasure.”
Suspension duties were handled by Showa, with 41mm front forks and a preload/rebound adjustable shock.
The seller of this example (VIN: 1HFSC210XHA001002) acquired it 4 months ago from a collector in New Hampshire. The bike was serviced by the previous owner before it was shipped out to the current owner, and he’s covered 50 miles with it since. The seller is letting it go as he’s buying a different collector bike from Iconic and needs to make space.
The odometer shows 11,556 miles.
It is highly stock – the one upgrade is a color-matched Corbin seat.
The seller is not aware of any mechanical issues, noting that it “ran great the two times I rode it.” He advises that the battery needs to be put on a trickle charger and that there is a small piece of missing fairing where the upper and middle fairings meet on the left side.
The right side of the tank also exhibits some paint wear.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please schedule an appointment for a viewing), this Hurricane is offered on a bill of sale only.
