The successor to the VBB, Vespa’s 150 Super featured updated angular styling that made it look like a baby brother to the Sprint.
The 150cc two-stroke motor was rated at 5.4 horsepower.
It featured a single seat as well as a rear storage rack that had provisions to mount a passenger seat.
The big upgrade for the Super was found in the braking system, with larger drums and shoes.
Between 1965 and 1976, Vespa produced 553,807 examples of the 125 and 150 Super.
The seller of this example (VIN: VBC1T34824, Engine #: VBC1M34989) acquired it seven years ago from his neighbor in Long Beach, California. The neighbor was a petite French woman who had the scooter restored and put 200 miles on it, however she had trouble with the twistgrip shifter and sold it to buy a modern Vespa 150 instead.
The seller has put approximately 600 miles on it and the odometer shows 814 miles, which reflects mileage after the restoration.
The current owner used it for weekend coffee runs in the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach, California. He stopped riding it regularly approximately 3 years ago.
