Also known as the “Super Fifty”, this was the smallest offering Yamaha’s TZR lineup.
Like the YSR50, the TZR featured a 2-stroke single-cylinder 50cc engine. Unlike the YSR, this had basically full-size (16″) wheels. It also was never officially sold in the United States.
Manufactured in November of 1988, this example is VIN: 3YN003316, Engine #: 6YN-003316.
The odometer shows 22,751 kilometers (14,136 miles).
This bike came us from a collection in South Africa. Maintenance history is not know, so in preparation for the listing we flushed the coolant, installed a battery, and installed new IRC tires with date codes of 0221 and 0921.
Daniel did the work, he noted that it runs and ride but the oil pump does not work so you must use premix. The left hand rear turn signal does not work and several wires have been taken out of the original harness and rewrapped.
