At the turn of the millennium, the MV Agusta brand was revived with the release of a new flagship, the 750cc F4. Penned by the great Massimo Tamburini, the F4 boasted a ground-breaking design that redefined the modern superbike. In the years that followed, the F4 underwent a series of revisions and model updates, though the bike’s incredible aesthetics went largely unchanged. Underneath the proverbial hood, however, progress was constant. What started out as a three-quarter-liter engine was replaced with an increasingly potent liquid-cooled, 998cc, four-stroke, 16-valve, DOHC radial valve, four-cylinder mill, and in August of 2006, an F4 1000 R achieved the title of world’s fastest 1,000cc production motorcycle when it clocked a speed of 185.882 mph on the dried bed of the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Throughout its impressive production run, the F4 was occasionally offered with limited edition upgrade kits (under the Special Parts or SP moniker) that typically consisted of unique bodywork and a few other changes. Along with the Viper and the Corse varieties, MV also offered the Mamba kit. 300 were made in the full kit, with a further 300 made in a basic kit. As you’d expect, the kit’s colorway was ‘inspired’ by its namesake: red, black, and exposed carbon fiber.

The seller acquired this set of bodywork through the purchase of an F4 1000 Ago. Unfortunately, the transporters dropped the bike as they were unloading it in his garage for delivery. He has since acquired another set of bodywork and he’s elected to sell these components!

The sale includes the front fender, the front fairing, the side panels, the tank and cover, the tail section, two belly pans, the radiator guard, the airbox covers, as well as the original windscreen and an additional MRA windscreen.
