Aleix Espargaró is a former Spanish racer who made his MotoGP debut in 2009 with Pramac Racing, riding at Indianapolis and Misano. Following his efforts, he signed a contract with the team for the 2010 season. After a crash with Álvaro Bautista and Randy de Puniet, he sustained a fracture of the vertebra, closing out the season with two best eighth place finishes.
Espargaró spent a brief stint competing in the Moto2 World Championship during the 2011 season; however, by 2012, he was back in the MotoGP class racing with Power Electronics Aspar. He finished as the highest-placed CRT (Claiming Rules Team) rider that year and defended his success in 2013.
A move to NGM Forward Racing in 2014 meant that the Spaniard would continue to prove his CRT prowess. Racing alongside teammate Colin Edwards, Aleix Espargaró scored his first podium with a second place finish at the Aragon GP and his first pole position at the Dutch TT at Assen.
The leathers being offered today are from Espargaró’s 2015 season when he switched to Team Suzuki Ecstar. That year, he rode with Maverik Viñales, earning his second pole position and finishing the season in eleventh place with 105 points.
These leathers came to Iconic as part of a large collection of MotoGP memorabilia. We cannot find sizing information. They measure approximately 54.5″ tall, 35″ through the chest, and 28″ around the waist.
