The Schuberth SF1 was a top-tier racing helmet of the era, typically built to order and costing upwards of $10,000.
2007 was the year Massa’s teammate Kimi Räikkönen won his only F1 drivers world championship title, in no small part thanks to Felipe Massa. In the final race of the season, at Brazil’s São Paulo circuit, Massa led much of the Grand Prix, until yielding the lead to teammate Kimi Räikkönen, thus securing Räikkönen’s world championship title. Massa finished the 2007 season ranked fourth in the drivers’ standing with 94 points.
The seller states: “I bought this helmet from charity auction through Clars Auction House. I enjoyed as part of a Motorsport display, and artwork in my office. Now I would like to move it on to another Ferrari F1 racing fan who would appreciate it for their own display shelf. The signature is believed to authentic.”
