Yamaha launched an all-new R1 in 2009, and it captured the hearts of many a rider thanks to the crossplane crankshaft that gave the R1 a defining sound and more predictable traction at the limit. “In 2009 the R1 caused quite a stir, mainly due to that engine. Not only did the crossplane bring a whole new feel to riding an inline four, it did it with a wonderful MotoGP-style soundtrack that was a totally new experience.” For 2010, Yamaha released a Limited Edition of the legendary model – it featured a replica of the livery on Valentino Rossi’s Fiat Yamaha Team MotoGP race bike.

It was also given a replica of Valentino’s signature on the tank.

Manufactured in January of 2010, this example is VIN: JYARN23Y6AA001828. “Our family has owned this bike since it was brand new from factory.”

During his ownership, the seller has covered 11 miles. The odometer shows 411 miles.

“My dad is the first owner and he passed it down to me, I have always seen this bike growing up and me and my dad decided it’s time to sell it, hopefully to someone who knows how to take better care of this bike than we do. We always did the maintenance on this bike even though we did not ride it at all, here and there the bolts and fuel cap area is rusty, but the inside of the fuel tank is clean with no rust and engine is in excellent condition as well as everything else. Mainly the outskirts of the bike have cosmetics here and there due to being parked and the age.”
Maintenance:
The seller states: “New tires, chain, sprocket, spark plugs, battery, brake pads, brake bleed, oil change, coolant change and clutch.”
Modifications:
Per the seller, this bike is completely stock.

It is riding on Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires with date codes of 2225 and 2725.

The sale includes 1 ignition key.
