Description

Additional photos on this 1982 Honda MVX250F are available here for your perusal.

We’ve sold all sorts of Honda 250 2-strokes here at Iconic, but even for us the MVX250F is a rare find. Some consider this bike to be Honda’s first ‘real’ attempt at a 2-stroke sportbike, and it was only available in Japan and a few other countries in close proximity, like New Zealand.

It has two distinct features that make it stand out:
1. an inboard disc brake

2. a 2-stroke V3 engine! There are two forward-facing horizontal cylinders which flank a vertical cylinder, and the vertical cylinder had a large piston pin to add weight in the hopes that it would balance out the weight of the dual cylinders. This interesting configuration was good for 40 horsepower.

This example is VIN: MC091006246. The seller acquired it from a private party five years ago.

During his ownership, the seller has covered 125 miles on the bike. The odometer shows 28,800 km (17,896 miles).

Maintenance:
My shop restored everything. The only thing we did not do is paint the frame or rebuild the lower end.”

Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller states that there are no cosmetic blemishes.

It is riding on Bridgestone Battlax BT46 tires with date codes of 4220 and 2921.

Currently located in Walnut Creek, California, this Honda is offered on a clean Montana title.
