When it was released, the VF1000R was a bit of a revelation: it was Honda’s flagship, designed to showcase what the Japanese firm was capable of. It was also a huge tease to US riders, because it was initially only released in Europe only – America got the VF1000F instead, which was designed to be more of a touring bike.
The R was Honda’s first road bike to benefit from gear-driven cams.
This example is VIN: SC162000636. The seller acquired the bike through an Iconic auction; he has since decided that it’s not for him.
The odometer shows 10,454 kilometers (6,495 miles).
Maintenance:
When the bike was first here at Iconic, we replaced the battery, the spark plugs, the oil and oil filter, the fuel filter, the fuel lines, the fuel pump, the air filter, the brake fluid, and the coolant. We also cleaned and synced the carbs, rebuilt the petcock, rebuilt the rear master cylinder, and installed new Bridgestone Battlax BT46 tires.
After the seller acquired the bike, he had the upper and lower fairings professionally repainted.
Please note: This VF1000R is missing its right-hand battery cover.
Modifications:
This VF1000R is completely stock.
Inside of the tank:
It is riding on Bridgestone Battlax BT46 tires with date codes of 5020 and 2222.
The sale includes one key.
