Description
Please note:Â The previous auction winner purchased this bike through Iconic in June of 2024 and tragically passed away before being able to enjoy this bike. His estate decided to re-list the bike through Iconic and Dreamcycle.
Iconic is proud to call Dreamcycle one of its approved iconic locations! We have partnered with the British Columbia-based museum in order to support all of your Canadian motorcycling needs! Click here for an VINData Motorcycle History Report on this 1986 Honda VF1000R.
When it was released, the VF1000R was a bit of a revelation: it was Honda’s flagship, designed to showcase what the Japanese firm was capable of. It was also a huge tease to US riders, because it was initially only released in Europe only – America got the VF1000F instead, which was designed to be more of a touring bike.
The R was Honda’s first road bike to benefit from gear-driven cams and came decked out in fully faired, racer replica bodywork with rearset footpegs and adjustable clip-on handlebars for a more racer-ready riding position.
This example is VIN: JH2SC1606GM100515. Engine: SC16E220517. The seller purchased the bike June 2024.
The odometer shows 44,094 miles. The owner passed away before being able to take delivery of this bike and thus the odometer reading is the same as when we previously listed the bike.
Maintenance:
The seller states, “Carbs just cleaned with new gaskets. New Battery 9 months ago.” Dreamcycle notes the horn does not work.
