We’ve sold our fair share of of RC51s here at Iconic but today we’ve got something special: back in 2001, Honda announced a marketing partnership with Universal Studios, and it led to some interesting co-branding on some of Honda’s race bikes. Miguel Duhamel’s RC51 was wrapped up to spread the word about The Mummy Returns at Sears Point Raceway, while Sebastian Tortelli’s CR250R got a similar look for the finale of AMA Supercross. But it didn’t stop there: Universal Studios had a different summer blockbuster that took over Ezra Lusk’s CR250R at Red Bud and Nicky Hayden’s RC51 at Laguna Seca – Jurassic Park III.

Honda understandably wanted to show these off at marketing events around the country, but the race bikes were busy competing so Honda took a new stock RC51 and gave it an identical Jurassic Park III livery for promotional purposes – that’s the machine you’re currently looking at!

After this RC51 served its time as a display piece, it was tucked away at Honda’s corporate headquarters until Honda asked us to sell it and a zero-mile CBX for a charity auction in 2019 to support Ride for Kids/the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The gentleman who won that original auction has enjoyed it on display but it’s now time for the bike to find a new owner.

Manufactured in October 2000, this example is VIN: JH2SC45441M100154.

It is California-emissions compliant.
