Description

Click here for an VINData Motorcycle History Report on this 2001 Suzuki SV650. Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

The Suzuki SV650 is like the modern day Honda CB750. 700cc standard bikes are common these days, but 10 years ago the choices were limited to the Ducati Monster and the Suzuki SV650. Suzuki’s 645cc V-twin has since been written in trackday folklore, eventually becoming stuck in time itself as the market made their preferences clear.

Featured on Cycle World’s Sport Bike 2007 magazine (which comes with this auction), this bike was originally built circa 2002 by Chris Baker with the help of Motomorphic and called the “MV-SV Special.” Details of the build are still hosted over on SV650.org.

This example is VIN: JS1VP52A912104782. The seller purchased the bike from a private party through an Iconic auction July 2021.

During his ownership the seller has covered approximately 126 miles. The odometer shows 3,257 miles.

Maintenance:
The seller states he recently lubed and adjusted the chain and has all maintenance records under his ownership. He notes, “The tachometer does not work and the brake tail lights only work with the front brake lever. The rear brake does not have a brake switch.”

Please see the album up top for detailed photos of this unique bike’s modifications. The seller has provided the following list of upgrades performed on the bike both before and during his ownership:
