Please Note: This bike has a salvage title. Per a previous owner: “I bought the bike in 2008 from my friend and I had no problem with buying it since I knew the history. He dropped the bike on a roadway and damaged the fairing. He replaced it with an OEM fairing and had the paint scheme done. Other scuffed parts were replaced. The bike runs true.”
After a long series of 916-based superbikes, Ducati dramatically mixed things up styling-wise with the vertically-stacked lights and double-sided swingarm of the 999 in 2003.
The styling was polarizing but the riding experience was not. And while the base model was a quality machine, the up-spec S model came with a slight bump in power/torque (141 hp, 82.5 lb-ft), Ohlins 43mm forks, and the option for a second seat (“bi-posto”).
This example is VIN: ZDM1UB5V94B008704. The seller acquired it from a private party in Arizona three years ago who had purchased it through an Iconic Motorbikes auction in April 2023.
During his ownership, the seller has covered 150 miles. The odometer shows 17,395 miles.
Maintenance:
“New Yoyodyne clutch pack, new battery. Other than that I’ve done zero maintenance since I haven’t ridden this bike much.” The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues.
