Inspired by Kawasaki’s W1 which ran from 1965 to 1974 the W800 was built to replace Big K’s W650 after being put to bed in 2007. The fuel-injected standard went to market from 2011 to 2015 but only internationally, the States didn’t see it’s 60s-style looks until it’s 2019 re-release.
Rounding out the retro looks are a double-cradle frame, pinstriped fuel tank, ribbed saddle, wire wheels, pea shooter exhaust, rubber fork gaiters, and traditional analog styled instrumentation. ABS was added as well as a new assist and slipper clutch. Powering the whole package is 773cc air-cooled vertical-twin capable of a claimed 47 hp and 44 lb-ft of torque at 2,500 rpm.
