This scooter came to us as part of a massive collection of Suzuki MotoGP memorabilia that includes bodywork, leathers, helmets and other goodies. We’ve auctioned off some pieces previously, such as…
Joan Mir 2019 MotoGP Leathers
Daryl Beattie 1996 Autographed Leathers
Sean Emmett 1995 GP Leathers
…but this is the first one with wheels! This scooter is said to be Kevin Schwantz’ pit bike for the 1994/1995 seasons.
Suzuki actually offered the Sepia ZZ (a 50cc 2-stroke scooter) in a Lucky Strike livery, however the race team took this a step further with the custom “Kevin Schwantz” decals.
This example is VIN: CA1HC146970. We cannot confirm the year of production.
The odometer shows 2,741 kilometers (1,703 miles).
In preparation for the listing, we had Olly rebuild the front caliper and install new Michelin Pilot Street 2 tires. He notes that the electric starter does not function.
We also had to blow out a bit of oil that settled in the pipe!
Modifications:
This appears to be completely stock, however the mirrors are missing.
Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
The sale includes one key and several manuals.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Suzuki is offered on a Bill of Sale only. Have any Schwantz stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
